Roger Williams Park Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in the country, has entertained and delighted Rhode Islanders since its opening in 1872. Today, the Zoo is one of Rhode Island's top outdoor tourist attractions, and one of the most popular family venues in the region. Average attendance for the past five years has hovered at 600,000 and the current membership base is over 13,000 households. Over 40,000 households subscribe to our monthly enewsletter. With our strong attendance and targeted demographic, the Zoo is the perfect place for corporate sponsors. A partnership with the Zoo provides an experiential marketing platform that will allow your brand to stand out and make a meaningful connection with the public.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

Event Sponsorship

As a year 'round facility, there is always something going on at the Zoo! Our most popular events include:

Party for the Planet
A week-long festival celebrating conservation.  Earth Day rounds off the week with an environmental fair. Attendance reaches nearly 40,000 people.

Zoobilee! Feast with the Beasts, our second largest fundraiser, is held annually on the last Saturday of June.  This adults-only evening event draws approximately 1500 people to enjoy mouth-watering specialties from dozens of the area’s best restaurants, caterers and bars. Live music, dancing, and a wine bottle bazaar all contribute to making this the wildest summer party in Rhode Island! Proceeds help to support our education and wildlife conservation programs, as well as Zoo improvements.

Jack O' Lantern Spectacular
This truly unique event has garnered national attention every year.  Over 5,000 intricately carved and illuminated pumpkins light up the Zoo in a truly artful display that’s a visual feast for all ages.  One of our most popular events and our largest fundraiser, it is a one-of-a-kind spectacle of seasonal fun and artistry, and has become a regional fall tradition. Proceeds help to support our education and wildlife conservation programs, as well as Zoo improvements.

Spooky Zoo
Spooky Zoo incorporates many fun autumn activities for families such as a trick or treating, "creepy crawly animal interviews," roaming entertainers and live music.  Attendance averages about 8,000 people for this two-day event at the end of October.

Educational Program Sponsorships

Roger Williams Park Zoo is a wonder-filled living classroom and a valuable center for science and environmental education.  Our standards-based education programs provide invaluable experiential learning to thousands of students every year, and our advocacy efforts have helped to shape national environmental education legislation. We offer many exciting programs for people of all ages. From our classroom programs and field trips, to family adventures, international trips for adults and Zoomobiles, we teach people about the natural world in a "wildly" fun way!  We also offer grants to help qualifying public schools afford a field trip to the Zoo through our program, Trixie’s Fund.

We welcome the opportunity to work with Corporate Sponsors on any of these programs. There are many assets at the Zoo that you may be aligned with in your sponsorship as well, including our Meller-Danforth Education Building, the  Zoo Lab, the Zoomobile, toddler and preschool classes and our very own theatrical Group, the Wild Bunch.

Exhibit Sponsorships

Roger Williams Park Zoo includes eight major exhibit areas that are home to well over 100 rare and fascinating species  from around the world. We also have exciting new exhibits that are coming as part of our ongoing master plan. All of these exhibits are available for sponsorship, affording the opportunity for year-round visibility and branding at one of the most beloved and highly attended outdoor attractions in Rhode Island.

Mobile Marketing Opportunities

We welcome mobile marketing tours all year long.  Our property covers over 35 acres, which affords ample space for any dimension of display.  And with a yearly attendance of over 600,000 – with some weekends attracting upwards of 15,000 people – the Zoo is the perfect place to sample your product, launch a new brand, or get your product or service into the hands and heads of consumers.
