Come have fun while learning more about our world and the animals in it! This exciting hour-long program is designed for children 6-8 years old, who have moved on from the adult/child pairs of our pre-school programs. Spend some time in the classroom exploring biofacts and other activities, and then head outside to learn more about adaptations, niches and behaviors through Zoo exploration. 

Class size: 8 min. – 12 max.

Members: $14 per child                 

Non-members: $24 per child

*Children must be accompanied by an adult. No younger or older siblings please.*

Hello.  You cannot see me.  I am camouflaged.  I am not a sloth... I am a bunch of moss growing on a tree...  Go ahead keep looking...I could sit here allll day.  Come and find out about, and try to find, one of the best-disguised animals in the world.

Hooves
Clip…clop...clip…clop…listen to the music that animals with hooves make as they go about their daily lives.  What’s it like to have your shoes on all time??   Join us for a fun look at animals with these special kinds of feet.

Wild Dogs
Spotted black, yellow, white and dark brown, each wild dog’s coat is unique, kind of like your fingerprint.  No two are the same.  Learn about these amazing dogs and see if you’ll be able to tell who’s who in our wild dog exhibit.  Is it Thunder, Phantom, Signal or Kubaki??  Now who had what spot, where….hmmmm??
