Right now, our fundraising focus is on the Hasbro's Our Big Backyard children's zoo. Phase 1 of this amazing new addition to our Zoo is set to open in spring, 2012. But to make phase 2 a reality, and to move on to the largest and final portion of our New Zoo master plan - including the return of polar bears - we need your help.
You can help make the Hasbro's Our Big Backyard children's zoo a reality - donate now and your contribution will be DOUBLED by The Champlin Foundations!
Through a $1.5 million challenge grant offered by the Champlin Foundations, the gift you make today toward the Children’s Zoo will be matched by The Champlin Foundations! That means if you send a gift of $100, $75, $50 or $25, The Champlin Foundations will double it. If you send in $100, your gift becomes $200 and so on. And they will double every gift you and other supporters send – up to $1.5 million!
Exploring the woods behind your house. Splashing in a stream. Making a mud pie. Building a backyard fort. Are these things you did as a kid? Today, kids have less time and opportunity to play outdoors, especially in urban areas. The new Children’s Zoo will offer these types of experiences, allowing children to explore nature and teaching them how to protect it.
Please help to make this wonderful new opportunity for our young visitors a reality - donate now >
