(Ages 13 - 17)

A lifetime of doing what you love and loving what you do can begin with a small step.  If you’ve ever dreamed about working with animals or in a zoo, this workshop could be the start of your amazing journey.

It takes a village to run a zoo, and in this special program, teens will discover just how many different career opportunities a zoo holds. This educator-led workshop will include program animal encounters, tours of the John J. Palumbo Veterinary Hospital, animal commissary, and elephant and giraffe holding spaces, behind-the-scenes, hands-on interactions with zookeepers that care for animals in Adaptations and Tropical America buildings, and more. Please note: specific activities are subject to change.

A Southwestern lunch buffet of black bean and corn salad, grilled chicken with peppers and onions, seasoned beef, flour tortillas, Spanish rice, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and onions, shredded cheese, salsa, sour cream, guacamole and churros is included.

Registration is now closed. Please check back next year!

All registrations are final. No refunds will be given unless program is cancelled by the Zoo.

We strongly recommend you register online, as this provides the best chance at securing a session you desire. But if you prefer, you may also print out our mail-in registration form and mail them to the Zoo using the instructions provided on the form.
