Meet our Mom's Day Activities
Free with regular Zoo admission
May 11 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

All mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers and honorary mothers will recieve half-off the cost of regular Zoo admission, and everyone can enjoy a host of activities celebrating motherhood and springtime, including:

• The first 500 moms at the Zoo (beginning at 9 a.m.) will receive a complimentary rose
• All moms can enter a raffle to win a $100 gift certificate from Cardi’s Furniture
• Listen in on “baby talks” about select Zoo animals: at Gibbons from 12- 1; at Babirusa from 1-2; and at Giraffes from 2-3
• Watch botanical artist Mathilde Duffy create an original piece
• Enjoy musical entertainment by Jordan Cannady
• View beautiful plants from the RI Orchid Society and the New England Carnivorous Plant Society on display from the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center (A great place to visit after your Mother’s Day trip to the Zoo!)
• Learn about roses and how to grow them from the RI Rose Society
• Watch as Spring wreaths are created by RI 4-H and lend a hand at this interactive station
• Learn about tree care and outdoor beautification from Bartlett Tree Services
• Learn all about amazing amphibians and how to build a Toad Abode at our Year of the Frog Education Station
• Learn how to build your own butterfly garden and more at our Butterfly Education Station
• Check out TEN31 Productions’ whimsical human flower topiary from 12 - 2 pm
• Plus! Families can pose for a picture in the Marco Polo Pavilion; get the photo and a magnetic frame for only $9.95.

Mother's Day Brunch

For the first time the Zoo is also offering an exclusive Mother’s Day brunch! For an additional fee and with advanced reservations, families can make mom feel extra special with an extravagant brunch served in the Zoo’s private picnic pavilion. 

Our 11 a.m. seating has sold out, but due to popular demand, we've added an additional seating at 1:30 p.m. - call to make your reservations before 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 8.

Ticket Includes:

• admission to the Zoo for the day (along with all the Meet Our Moms event activities listed above)
• A family photo, and "design your own frame" craft activity for kids
• A delicious and seasonal Mother's Day brunch, including carved beef tenderloin with Brazilian barbecue sauce and chimichurri, roasted fingerling potatoes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit salad and more.

Seating is limited and advanced ticket purchase is required; no brunch tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets may be purchased through May 7 at the Zoo’s main entrance or by calling the Admissions office at 401-785-3510 x343.
