Monday, April 13 - "Wild World of Fun & Games"
A day filled with fun games with an animal or environmental twist

  • Fun & Games Activities, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.:
    - Interactive games including Animal Bingo 11a.m., 11:30a.m., 12p.m., 12:30p.m. , 1p.m., 1:30p.m., 2p.m., 2:30p.m. (Animal Aerobics and Simon Says in between) - Marco Polo Plaza
    - Hopscotch, Hula-Hoop Contests, Leapfrog, Relay Races, and a Bubble Station - Wetlands Trail Entrance

Tuesday, April 14 - "The World in Your Backyard"
A day dedicated to exploring the nature that surrounds us all the time

Thursday, April 16 - "Sing, Dance & Be Green"
This day will showcase dance, theater and music with an environmental or nature focus

    - Rhode Island PBS hosts a station for the new show "Little Amadeus," with appearances by Amadeus - Hungry Bear Plaza

  • Fiddle Dee Dee band 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. (45 min show) - On the Farmyard Porch

  • Traveling Theater will run interactive theater performances from their recycling play, "Death of Bag Man" (11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12p.m.) with display by Apeiron Institute. - Marco Polo Plaza

This day is dedicated to getting outside and doing fun activities in the natural world

A day dedicated to art inspired by nature, or created from recycled materials

  • Art demonstrations & fun activities from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.:

    - Create an environmental tape art mural with TapeArt artist Michael Townsend - Along the Africa Trail

    - Help to construct a birdhouse from found objects, with environmental artist Will Machin - On the Wetlands Trail

    - See Steel Yard and Recycle a Bike artists welding an animal sculpture out of recycled bike parts - Wetland Trail Entrance

    - Create a recycled paper flower garden with artist Gillian Christy - Hungry Bear Plaza

- See a display of home décor pieces made out of street signs, by artist Boris Bally - Australasia Building

- Make a message for the planet as you create your own peace flag with The Peace Flag Project - In front of the Education Center

- Make a scrapbook page about your Party for the Planet experience, with Creative Memories Scrap booking (while supplies last) - In front of the Kangaroo exhibit

- Create origami cranes from recycled paper with artist Jessica Langella - Hungry Bear Plaza

- Watch as chalk artist Michael Macauley creates an environmentally themed work of art - Hungry Bear Plaza

- See a sculpture installation inspired by flight in the natural world, by Zach Weindel - Wetlands Trail Area

- Chainsaw artist, Michael Higgins, creates amazing art from fallen trees - Wetlands Trail Entrance

  • Watch "Art by Avery," a recognized child artist, as she creates a piece of art with an environmental twist - and other kids are invited to make a masterpiece as well 11:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Wetlands Trail Entrance

  • Samples from Cabot Cheese - Infront of the Farmyard

  • Art demonstrations by butterfly and botanical artist Amy Bartlett Wright, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. - Wetlands Trail

  • Watermelon Carvings (11:30am-2:30pm) - Wetlands Trail

  • Display of rainforest artwork created by local first graders. Artwork will be displayed in Australasia building.

  • Environmental Stewardship Task Force - Art exhibit displaying prize winning posters in the annual Diocesan Environmental Poster Contest, located in the Australasia Building
