Celebrate World Animal Day at the perfect place - Roger Williams Park Zoo - and enjoy some fun activities and crafts with a geography theme, as well as traditional music and dance from local cultural groups. These activities run 11am-3pm and are free with Zoo admission.
Activities include:

- Anna Shapiro (Hungry Bear Plaza in front of the gift store)
Interactive chalk drawing of the world, plus fun Geography Game – Where do I come from? Match the name of the sculpture to the area of the worlds where that animal can be found in the wild.
- World Origami Craft (Hungry Bear Plaza near the gibbon exhibit)
Join us and create a beautiful origami crane out of recycled maps and animals photos. Help us fill our origami tree with birds.

- Geography Zone by the Rhode Island Geogragphy Alliance
Join us for fun games like Globe Toss and Where in the World...
- Fraternidad Folklorica Boliviana
Bolivian dance group preforming at 2pm & 2:30pm
- Stories by the Zoo's Wild Bunch
Join them on the Farmyard Porch for stories at 10:30am, 11:15am, 12pm, 1:15pm, 2pm and 2:45pm
- Young Fish School of Drumming
11am - 12pm & 1pm - 2pm
Guests are invited to join in on an interactive drumming demo
- Salsa y Control Dance Group
12pm - 12:20pm & 12:30pm - 12:50pm
Dancers will perform and instruct the crowd in a traditional salsa
