Scout Safari Day

May 8, 2010

Spend an adventurous day at the Zoo with fellow Girl Scouts (Brownies, Juniors and Daisies) and Cub Scouts of all ages participating in interactive stations set up around the Zoo. These stations will assist scouts in completing a variety of badge requirements while providing a fun zoo experience. Meet special guest presenters, Zoo staff and some very cool critters.

Cost: 
$14/Scout 
(includes admission, program fee and NEW this year – a souvenir patch! Does not include lunch)

Non-participants: $5/children, $10/adults (admission only)

Registration:
Pre-registration is required and payment is due upon registration.  Registration deadline is April 19th.  There will be a late fee of $5 per scout after that date.  Sorry, no refunds.

Wild at Work - Zoo Career Day (ages 14  – 17)
November 21, 2010
12:30 - 3:30 p.m., rain or shine

Do you know a teen that may be interested in a career working with animals or in a zoo?  It takes a village to run a zoo and in this special program now available to teens, participants will discover just how many different career opportunities a zoo holds.  Educator-led stations will include a sneak peek into the secret life of zookeepers, zoo veterinary care, exhibit building, enrichment for zoo animals and animal encounters.  Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts welcome!

Cost: $25 per teen – no adults

Wildlife Conservation Pin and Belt Loop Days
November, 2010

What happens on Wildlife Conservation Pin and Belt Loop days at Roger Williams Park Zoo?  Lots!  Scouts will learn about wildlife from Zoo staff and fully complete the Wildlife Conservation Pin and Belt Loop.
