This year’s theme celebrates the art of the pun\, with thousands of hand-carved pumpkins bringing witty wordplay to life through pop culture references\, playful characters and pun-believable scenes. From clever one-liners to delightfully cheesy dad jokes\, there’s something to make every guest grin as they stroll The Great Pun-Kin Trail\, where over 5\,000 glowing jack-o’-lanterns illuminate the Zoo. \nDon’t miss New England’s “must-see” family-friendly event of the Halloween season at Roger Williams Park Zoo. All tickets must be purchased online in advance. Tickets are required and sold online only. No refunds or rescheduling.

SUMMARY:Spooky-ish Scout Family Fun Night at the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of fun for scouts\, prospective scouts\, friends\, and family! Scouts BSA members\, Cub Scouts\, and Girl Scouts will all have a great time during this special after-hours event. Not a scout? Join us anyway and visit the zoo after-hours for animal encounters\, keeper chats and a Halloween dance party! Admission includes kid-friendly hot dog buffet\, access to Faces of the Rainforest\, World of Adaptations\, the Farmyard and Himalayan Trek! Attendees will also skip the line as they receive V.I.P. access to the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular! \nLocal scouting representatives will also be on hand to answer questions and to help you find a troop or pack near you if you are interested. \nTickets must be purchased in advance. Walk-in tickets will not be available. \nNOTE: Visitors should expect travel delays around the Zoo\, especially after 6pm. Please plan accordingly. Visitors are strongly encouraged to check-in between 4:30pm – 5:45pm for the quickest and easiest entry. All you need to bring is your sense of adventure! \nTravel with the RWPZ to the Bronx Zoo!\nDate: Saturday\, October 24th\nTime: 6:30am-9:00pm\nCost: Members: $141 / Non-members: $156 \nJoin us as we visit the largest urban zoo in the United States! You will see the urban jungle fall away to reveal 265 acres of hardwood forest that is home to the Bronx Zoo. Spend the day learning all about the natural world and exploring exhibits including: The Children’s Zoo\, Bug Carousel\, Butterfly Garden\, Congo Gorilla Forest\, Jungle World\, The Wild Asia Monorail and unlimited rides on the zoo shuttle! Check out the Zoo’s seasonal themed special events such as pumpkin carving demonstrations and Halloween dance party! While arrival times are traffic dependent\, we plan to depart at 6:30am and return around 9:30pm. Travel includes a short rest stop for each leg of the journey. Start your adventure by standing under the largest model of a blue whale and end it by immersed in invisible worlds. There is so much to learn at the American Museum of Natural History! While arrival times are traffic dependent\, we plan to depart at 6:30am and return around 9:30pm. Travel includes a short rest stop for each leg of the journey. There is plenty of storage under the bus to store strollers and\nother wheeled accommodations that you may need to explore the museum. \n-Museum accessibility? The museum is completely accessible and has wheelchairs available on a first-come\, first-serve basis. If you need to bring a zoo wheelchair\, please let us know in advance so we canmake sure to have one ready for you. \n-How long will we be able to explore the museum? The Museum is open from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. We plan to arrive when the museum opens\, traffic depending. We will depart the museum at 5:00 PM with a plan to leave New York by 5:30 PM. \n-What else does the museum offer? DESCRIPTION:Join us and a professional pumpkin carver for an all-inclusive carving experience. Learn directly from the artist as they walk you step by step of carving your very own intricate jack-o’-lantern! They will provide us a sample of the techniques and tools they use to create some of the stunning artwork that has enchanted millions of visitors at the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. Your design will feature one of our amazing animals that live at the Zoo! Can’t draw? Don’t worry\, the pumpkin comes prepared with the carving design pre-drawn for you! Then end the class exploring the Zoo’s enchanting Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular trail. \nProgram registration includes admission to the class\, your pumpkin (with artwork pre-applied)\, carving tool kits customized by the professional carvers\, and an LED Lamp/Bulb to illuminate your “gourd-eous” artwork.
