Providence, RI – Tickets are now on sale for “the wildest party of the year” - Roger Williams Park Zoo’s annual fundraising bash, Zoobilee! Feast with the Beasts.  This year’s Feast with the Beasts, to be held Saturday, June 29th from 7 to 11 p.m., is set to feature fine food and drink from dozens of southern New England’s best restaurants, as well as live music and other fun entertainment, all in the unique and beautiful setting of the Zoo at twilight.  As part of the Zoobilee! fundraiser, the Zoo is also hosting an online auction now through July 1, with a wide variety of unique items and experiences up for bid. Please note that the Zoo will be closing to the public at 2 p.m. the day of Zoobilee! to prepare for the event, with last admission at noon.

Zoobilee! partygoers will feast on fine food and drink from local favorites such as Bonefish Grill, Hemenway’s Seafood Grill and Oyster Bar, The Capital Grille, Not Your Average Joes, Teas and Javas, El Rancho Grande, Iron Works Tavern, Theo Chocolate, Sweet Indulgence and many more.  Zoo-themed martinis will be shaken and stirred at the popular “Zootini Bar” by premier beverage sponsor Douglas Wine and Spirits.

Alex and Ani and Charity by Design are creating a custom bangle for Roger Williams Park Zoo to introduce our partnership.  This special bangle will debut exclusively for Zoobilee! guests. Alex and Ani will have their popular bangle bar at the event for guests to be the first to purchase this wild new charm. A portion of the proceeds will support the Zoo’s education and conservation efforts.

The night’s entertainment is set to include live music by the acclaimed World Premier Band, back by popular demand, as well as Farm Dog, a band comprised of Zoo employees. Ethereal performance artists from Ten31 Productions will also be on grounds, and some of the Zoo’s education animals will also make special appearances during the night.

In addition to the festivities scheduled for the night of the event, the Zoo is also hosting a Zoobilee! auction exclusively online, now through July 1.  The auction offers over 200 items up for bid at a great value, from priceless Zoo experiences to sports memorabilia and outings, artwork, getaways, theater tickets, unique entertainment packages and more.  Visit https://rwpzoo.org/168/zoobilee-feast-beasts and click on “bid” to browse and bid in the auction through July 1.

Last year’s Zoobilee! raised over $275,000 in proceeds for the Zoo; the event has raised over $4 million since its inception in 1991.  The funds generated help underwrite the Zoo’s award-winning environmental education and conservation programs. These programs include the conservation of threatened and endangered species in New England and around the world, and important community outreach efforts, such as the Zoomobile, which bring science and environmental education to tens of thousands of local school-aged children and other participants per year.

Zoobilee! is supported by sponsorships and contributions from a number of area businesses, charitable organizations and individuals, including this year’s co-presenting sponsors, Alex and Ani and the Robert F. Stoico / FIRSTFED Charitable Foundation. A committee of community leaders, led by Chair Pat Wholey, President and General Manager of WPRI 12, Fox Providence, and myRITV, have come together to help make this year’s event a success.

Tickets to the over-21 event are $125 per person for non-members and $100 per person for current Zoo members. Sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $15,000 or more and include early admission tickets to the event as well as special recognition in Zoobilee! promotional materials.
