Join us for the return of our largest scout event of the year! Scouts BSA members, Cub Scouts, and Girl Scouts (plus their friends and family) will all have a great time during this year’s Scout Safari Night. Join us and visit the zoo after hours for animal encounters, a dance party, keeper chats, a variety of programs designed to help meet various badge requirements as well as getting to experience the zoo after hours with fellow scout families! Book earlier to get the best price and to secure your spot before the event sells out!
Date: May 23rd, 2022
Time: 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Cost: $30 per person
*Children under 2 admitted free
Gates open at 5:00PM and the event will conclude at 8:00PM
Most Scouts can earn recognition requirements by participating in a service project. Add that to your Scout Safari Night by collecting items from our Zookeeper’s Enrichment Wishlist. These items would be used by our animal care team to keep our animals healthy and active as they investigate new smells and practice natural foraging behaviors! - 2022 Zookeeper Enrichment Wish List

Guests should come prepared with a facemask. They are only required when visiting the Faces of the Rainforest, indoor animal encounters and when within 6ft of any zoo animal.
We expect all available zoo exhibits to be open for the event. Zoo animals do have a choice when it comes to whether they are indoors or outdoors so not all animals may be seen at once.
Yes! Keep in mind that 1 paid adult will be required for every 4 children at the event. The person completing the registration will be responsible for ensuring each person receives one ticket. DO NOT JUST FORWARD ALL OF THE TICKETS IN AN EMAIL TO YOUR ENTIRE GROUP! This will cause a significant delay in checking in your group. Please print/cut the tickets and distribute to your group before queuing for the event. All group leaders/parents are responsible for their own participants and should remain together throughout the event. We strongly encourage parents to join their scouts as siblings are also welcome to join us in the fun!
The keeper chat locations and times will be marked with signs throughout the event. These will be based on keeper and animal availability
You can still come! Some of your friends may be scouts and if not, maybe they will be soon!
Yes! There will be food and snacks available to purchase during the event. The Discover the Wild Gift Shop will also be available so be sure to check out our limited edition, 150th birthday celebration merch!
Yes! All scouts in attendance will have the opportunity to select a Scout Safari Night Patch as a keepsake.
