🎃🐷 Spooky season means pumpkin time for Peach and Pecan! These gals had a smashing good time with their pumpkin enrichment.

Enrichment is so important for our animals, and pumpkins are a fun way to provide them with new smells, textures and flavors while encouraging natural behaviors, like foraging.

Dorothy and Blanche bug-ged out over their mealworm filled pumpkin enrichment! Pumpkins as puzzle feeders engage different senses and encourage exploration for our animals. Plus, they taste pretty good too! 😋

Spooky season doesn't have to be scary for wildlife! 👻🎃🐦🦇 Ensure your Halloween is festive AND safe for our feathered and furry friends:

👻 Skip the fake spiderwebs. Birds & other wildlife can become entangled.
👻 Choose natural alternatives. Try corn stalks, hay bales, and pumpkins!
👻 Dispose of pumpkins responsibly. Compost them or roast the seeds for a snack.
👻 Avoid flashing lights that can disorient animals. Opt for LED or solar-powered decor.
👻 Secure decorations. Prevent wildlife from getting tangled.

🎃Tuesday, Oct. 8 - Enjoy meet & greets with the 501st Star Wars Costume Club before hopping on the pumpkin trail.
🎃Wednesday, Oct 9 - Enjoy meet & greets with your favorite blue dog, iconic mouse duo, and rescue pups before hopping on the pumpkin trail.

Meet & greets are included in the price of the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular ticket. Guests must be in line by 7:45 pm. See you later for some family fun! 😄
