Carousel Village Party Packages

Daytime Do-It-Yourself Carousel Adventure Party ($295)

Come celebrate with us!  Celebrate your kiddo’s special day in a place as unique as they are.

Book a daytime DIY Carousel Adventure Party and choose how YOU celebrate. Gather with your guests, bring your favorite food and activities from home to enjoy, and guests can ride the carousel!

Party Includes:

  • A 90-minute rental of the indoor carousel party area with tables and chairs setup for you and your guests (tablecloths and party goods are not included)
  • Party admission and unlimited carousel rides for your first 15 children (ages 2-12; children under age 1).
    • Additional children can be added on for just $10 each, and adults attend free up to a 55-person guest total!
  • The flexibility of bringing your favorite food, decorations, and activities from home
  • Available at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm.  An additional 4 pm time slot is also available April – August.

After-Hours Do-It-Yourself Carousel Adventure Party (Starts at $495)

At an after-hours party, the carousel building is open exclusively to you and your guests!  Gather with friends, bring your favorite food and activities from home to enjoy, and ride the carousel all night long!  After-hours parties can begin as early as 4:30 pm (September-March) or 6:30 (April-August).

Party includes:

  • Exclusive access to the carousel building after it is closed to the public
  • A 2-hour or 3-hour rental of the carousel with tables and chairs setup for you and your guests (tablecloths and party goods are not included)
  • Party admission and unlimited carousel rides for up to 55 guests
  • The flexibility of bringing your favorite food, decorations, and activities from home (Please note: balloons, confetti, and alcohol are not allowed on carousel grounds)

After-hours parties begin at $495 for a 2-hour party or $695 for a 3-hour party.

Special Events at Carousel Village

Daytime Carousel Outings

During a daytime outing, your group has exclusive access to the carousel party area.  It takes place during the building’s normal hours of operation (which changes seasonally). Best of all, you can customize the space with décor, food, and activities from home, as the whimsical wonderland becomes the backdrop for your event!

Carousel outings are great for baby showers, company outings, and family reunions.  The easiest way to learn more is to check out the attached contract – it tells you everything about how these events flow, pricing, inclusions, and more! These three-hour gatherings start at $595.

Planning a Group Visit or Fundraiser Walk/Run

Purchase Group Admissions

Roger Williams Park is a beautiful backdrop for a charity walkathon/race, and Carousel Village is a perfect starting point!  The City of Providence/Providence Parks Department books all parkwide races and you would want to arrange your walk with them.  Then, contact GSales@rwpzoo.org with your date and we’ll check to see if the Carousel Village is available as a start or end point for your race.  The carousel rental allows you to use Carousel Village for your registration, pre-walk, and post-walk festivities.  Each rental includes:

  • Use of the carousel for your start and end point, as well as for registration beforehand and any post-walk festivities you desire.
  • Early access to the carousel for setup and breakdown
  • Exclusive, early access to the carousel building for you and your participants
  • Any AV needs including, but not limited to, a microphone, speakers, podium, projector and screen

Costs vary based on the event size.  All carousel events are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and require park approval from Heather, a completed Carousel Village contract, and your carousel deposit payment.  We suggest booking soon to lock in your date!

Fundraiser Walks & Races

Choose Carousel Village as the kickoff location for your next fundraiser walk!  Our outdoor area can accommodate plenty of guests, with extra indoor space for about 100 – 150.

Timeless Beauty Carousel Photo Sessions

Book a Photo Session

Post alongside the stunning carousel horses for beautiful captures. The historical Carousel at Roger Williams Park is a sought-after destination for photography sessions.  Schedule your milestone moment today – weddings, engagement sessions, sweet sixteens and first birthdays all shine against this stunning backdrop.

 

  • Standard 15-minute session: $75
  • Longer or later sessions available by request-  email for a custom quote!

 Each standard session takes place during the Carousel’s normal hours of operation. Standard sessions last fifteen minutes and include private Carousel rides and/or photographs in front and on the stopped Carousel. Once your fifteen minute session has expired, our Carousel will open back up to public operations.

Please note: While you will enjoy a private ride, the Carousel building does not close to the public during your scheduled appointment time.

General policy

Any group gatherings at carousel must be booked through the Group Sales team.  The picnic tables outside aren’t available for reservations, and groups can’t reserve or utilize those for private celebrations. All reservations are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and events must have both a completed contract and payment to book.
