Animal Enrichment Wish List
By donating to our Enrichment Wish List, you’re providing essential mental and physical stimulation for our furry, feathered, and scaled friends.
Our animal care staff has handpicked items that directly benefit the zoo’s animals. Enrichment is just as critical to our animal’s welfare as veterinary medicine, so please consider making a donation today! See the full list of items below.

Enrichment & Husbandry
What is animal enrichment? Enrichment allows animals to engage in natural behaviors and provides physical and mental stimulation. These elements work to stimulate the senses and allow animals to demonstrate species-typical behavior (ie. foraging) as well as challenge them to think and problem-solve, which helps keep the animals’ minds active, stimulated and healthy. The animal care staff constantly devises new enrichment techniques to engage animals and promote species-appropriate behaviors, focusing on meeting the unique needs of each individual.
(photo: Enrichment can take many forms. Items like this one promote foraging, and encourage our tamarin’s to exhibit natural behaviors.)
