Humboldt Penguin (coming soon!)
Spheniscus humboldtiWe’re getting ready to welcome Humboldt penguins to the Zoo. These penguins live along the rocky shores of Peru and Chile, and feed off fish from the chilly Humboldt Current that runs along their natural habitat.
The Zoo is in the process of renovating our former seal pool, which is where the penguins will eventually take up residence. We expect the habitat to open early summer 2025!
