Summer Happenings at Roger Williams Park Zoo

PROVIDENCE, RI (June 2, 2025) – There’s a lot happening at Roger Williams Park Zoo this summer:
Penguin Point
Our new habitat built just for our charming colony of Humboldt penguins, is open, so waddle on over to view these incredible penguins both on land and as they gracefully swim underwater.
Return of the Dinosaurs
Through August 10, 2025
Embark on a Jurassic Journey. This immersive walk-through will take you back in time to a world of prehistoric wonder. Come face-to-face with nearly 60 life-size animatronic and interactive dinosaurs, including 25 NEW dinosaurs debuting this year! Get hands-on with digging up ancient fossils, enjoy photos ops with dino eggs and more.

Saturday, June 14th and Saturday August 9th
Journey back in time and enjoy an evening at the Zoo from 5-9 pm. Your ticket includes access to the entire Zoo and the Return of the Dinosaurs walk-through experience.

Presented by BankRI. Join us for a night of roaring fun, all for a great cause! Indulge in delicious bites from dozens of the area’s top restaurants and sip on refreshing cocktails. Return of the Dinosaurs: Sensory-Friendly Morning

Join us for special sensory-friendly mornings an hour before the dinosaur trail opens to the public: designed for those with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences and their families from 8-9 am.

Our beloved elephants are turning 40, and you’re invited to the party! Come celebrate this milestone with birthday treats, kids’ activities, enrichment activities, and fun for the whole family. Meet the girls, learn about elephant conservation, and help us make their big day unforgettable! Event is free with admission.
