Learn how to build imaginative creations with LEGO® bricks alongside Rhode Island LEGO Master, Tacos on Sunday, May 17! In this hands-on workshop, Tacos will guide participants through creative engineering challenges, culminating in building your very own LEGO bug. Participants will gain new building skills, spark their creativity, and leave inspired to continue creating at home. Join us and start building!
Please note that all LEGOS will remain at the Zoo at the conclusion of the workshop: this workshop is designed to focus on building skills, creativity, and the experience of designing together!

Tacos! Tacos is a Lego Master here in Rhode Island! “Originally from New York and now
living in New England. Tacos’ career has been surrounded by children for over 20 years.
From working at a toy store to teaching pre-K, working with children has always been a
passion. Tacos went to school for engineering and has combined both their passions of

The workshop is 90 minutes. Starting out with a quick engineering lesson, building a
Lego challenge, and ending in a group clean up.
No, all Legos will remain at the Zoo at the conclusion of the workshop; this
workshop is designed to focus on building skills, creativity, and the experience of
designing together or the focus of this workshop is on learning new building techniques
and creative problem-solving. If you would like to purchase Roger Williams Park Legos,

You are welcome to bring in water. Please refrain from bringing in sugary drinks and
outside food into the workshop.
You can explore the zoo with your zoo admission ticket. Please note that the workshop
fee does not include zoo admission. Zoo Admission tickets can be purchased here >
Zoo Hours are 9 AM-4 PM. Please check your registration e-mail for arrival instructions for the workshop.
Refunds are only given if the zoo cancels the workshop. This workshop is rain or shine.
The workshop will be held in an indoor classroom. Please dress for the weather as our
classroom is across the zoo from the main entrance and is about an 10-15 minute walk.
Please plan accordingly. Late arrivals will miss important information. Please note that
our Workshop will take place in our Education Center which is a 10-15 minute walk from
the main entrance.
This program does not include animal encounters or behind the scenes components.
