Sniff, sniff 🐽

The nose knows! Red river hogs have an incredible sense of smell and long, muscular snouts that act like shovels. Using thousands of scent receptors and the ability to feel vibrations in the ground, they can easily sniff and dig out hidden treats beneath the soil.

In honor of National Smile Day it’s #ToothTime presented by Delta Dental! 🦒🦷 Just like humans, adult giraffes have 32 teeth in total, however, if you look closely at a giraffe’s “smile” and you’ll notice they have no upper front teeth! Instead, they have a thick, leathery “dental pad” on the top of their mouths.

Smart Smile Tip: Giraffes may use a dental pad, but humans rely on healthy gums. Make flossing a part of your daily routine to keep your smile healthy.
