DYK? During nesting season, the female gets sealed inside a tree cavity for several months, and the male becomes responsible for delivering food for both her and their chicks and for protecting the nest. Talk about true love! 🥰

🧸 2/12 - 2/14 Young Explorers: Stuffed Critter Clinic - Does your favorite teddy bear need a checkup? Bring your stuffed animal friends to Our Big Backyard for some TLC! 

🐦 2/14 - 2/16 Great Backyard Bird Count - Become a citizen scientist! Help us gather data to protect wild birds while having a blast. Spy on local birds, learn cool avian facts, and create conservation-themed "make and take" crafts. 

❄️ 2/16 - 2/20 Winter Break at the Zoo- School is out, and the Zoo is OPEN all week! Bundle up, come visit your favorite animals, and enjoy the peaceful paths.
