ZooCamp is one of our most popular programs, and it’s no wonder why –it’s the wildest way to spend a week during school vacation!  Children ages 4 - 13 can have a blast during winter, spring and summer school vacations with a week of games, hands-on activities, crafts, animal encounters and tours of the Zoo!

ZooCamp offers a truly unique camp experience for kids age 4 - 13.

Tadpole Academy

Offered during Winter, Spring & Summer Vacations
(ages 4 - 5)
Tadpole Academy is a great way to introduce your 4 – 5 year old to ZooCamp at Roger Williams Park Zoo!  Each day is only three hours long and includes stories, crafts, games and Zoo exploration in a safe, small group of only 10 campers per week. Remember: 5 year old campers may register for both a morning and afternoon session for a full day of Tadpole Academy!

Zoo Adventures

Offered during Winter, Spring & Summer Vacations
(Ages 6 - 10)

Do you know a child that dreams of spending his or her days surrounded by animals?  Send them to ZooCamp!  Their days will be filled with games, hands-on activities, crafts, animal encounters and tours of the Zoo.

Conservation Heroes

(Ages 11 - 13)

The world is full of passionate people doing amazing things for our environment, communities and animals.  These Conservation Heroes are active all over the world, but also right here in our backyard!  In this one-week camp at the zoo, campers will be empowered to become leaders in conservation through teambuilding and leadership activities, learning about other leaders in conservation, engagement in inquiry activities, games, program animal encounters, visits to animal exhibits and more.

Zoo Crew Counselor-in-Training (CIT)

(for teens entering 8th to 12th grade)
Our Zoo Crew Counselor-in-Training program is a great opportunity for teens to work with children, while also working as a member of a team in a fun setting.  The program also allows teens to meet community service requirements for a school or other organization.   Applications due February 1.
