Join us from 8:00 – 9:00 am on Sunday, April 26 and Sunday, July 5 for special sensory-friendly mornings an hour before the bug’s trail opens to the public: designed for those with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences and their families. The Zoo will open to the rest of the public at 9 AM; it’s recommended to get there between 8-8:30 to have time to fully enjoy the experience. Be sure to stop by and visit our sponsor ABA Centers of Rhode Island at their table!
This immersive exhibit featuring more than 60 larger-than-life bugs, brings the busy world of backyard insects to life while showing how these tiny creatures play a big role in our environment and how we can help protect them. Music and bug noises will be turned off for this sensory-friendly experience.
