Breakfast with the Animals

It’s the Zoo’s most popular program series! Start your day with a hot breakfast buffet before joining a member of our keeper staff on one of our exciting, behind-the-scenes adventures. No matter what you choose, you’re bound to have a blast on this one-of-a-kind wild breakfast adventure!

All Breakfasts Include: slices of seasonal fresh fruit, freshly baked breakfast pastries, farm raised scrambled eggs, delicious crispy home-fried potatoes, and crispy hickory smoked bacon. Breakfast Programs, Dates & Registration Information:

Breakfast with the Elephants (Ages 7+)

Rise and shine with the Zoo’s herd of African elephants in this exclusive experience before the Zoo opens. We’ll start with an al fresco hot breakfast buffet before joining the zookeepers that care for the elephants to learn about elephant diets, care, training and more. Guests will venture into the elephant yard to help prepare it for the day by providing enrichment and diet for our beloved elephant girls! One of the girls might even create a custom artwork that will be raffled off to one of our attendees! Capacity is limited to 30 participants and openings will not last long.

Breakfast includes: slices of seasonal fresh fruit, freshly baked breakfast pastries, farm raised scrambled eggs, delicious crispy home-fried potatoes, and crispy hickory smoked bacon. Provided beverages include: orange juice, coffee, and tea.*

PLEASE NOTE: Pre-registration is required. Ticket price includes a hot breakfast buffet, program, and admission to the Zoo post program. All children under 15 years old must be accompanied by a paid adult. The behind-the-scenes components of this program may not be wheelchair accessible. Walking up and down inclines and across uneven, sandy and/or dirty surfaces may be required. Please contact us with any accessibility questions or requests for accommodation.

While all public areas of the Zoo are wheelchair accessible, some behind-the-scenes areas are not. Climbing stairs and walking on uneven surfaces may be required. Please contact programs@rwpzoo.org or (401) 785-3510 x 358 if you have any questions or requests for accommodation.

Breakfast with the Rainforest Residents (Ages 7+)

Take a trip to the tropics and experience the Raves of the Rainforest like never before! After a hot breakfast you’ll get an opportunity to watch a training demonstration in the Education Center before taking a short walk over to the Rainforest. There you will meet with the staff that care for the rainforest animals and get a chance to go below the neighboring building with operations staff as you inspect the maze of pumps and pipes that make up the exhibits life support system before ending in the free flight aviary with the rest of the rainforest residents before it opens to the public! Capacity is limited to 30 participants, so register early!

Breakfast with the Zebra and Wildebeest (Ages 7+)

Rise and shine with RWPZ zookeepers as you help prepare our African Plains exhibit for the day! Start your morning by dining on an alfresco hot breakfast in the heart of our Africa region. Then make your way behind the scenes to meet the keepers that keep many of our animals happy and healthy. There you will go “on-exhibit” as you join zookeepers in staging our mixed-species yard for Zebras, Wildebeest and Watusi Cattle! Learn about who eats what as you prepare interesting snacks, scents and more to keep our African crew happy, healthy, and well-nourished.

Capacity is limited to 20 participants, so register early!

All New! Evening Dining Experiences with the Animals

Join us for an exclusive after-hours adventure where gourmet flavors meet the wonders of the wild. These intimate evenings offer a unique chance to learn from our expert animal care and education teams while enjoying themed cuisine in the heart of our most immersive habitats.

Tapas and Tamarins (18+)

Experience an exclusive after-hours adventure inside our Faces of the Rainforest! Explore the exhibit after hours and learn from a talented team of animal care experts on how to care for our rainforest friends! During Tapas and Tamarins, you will have the opportunity to learn from animal conservationists about ways to keep animals enriched, maintain a rainforest habitat, and who’s who of the rainforest! After your adventure, indulge in rainforest themed tapas* while sipping on a special rainforest inspired mocktail! Reserve your spot today! Capacity is limited to 30 participants and openings will not last long.

Pre-registration is required. Ticket price includes program, private access to the Faces of the Rainforest, and a full menu of tapas and signature mocktail. This program is best suited for adults 18 and up. Navigating sandy and uneven surfaces will be required as will the ability to wear a mask for extended periods of time.
